01Direct Energy HD Amplifier

Pioneer has considerable advantage over other manufacturers with unrivalled experience in digital amplifiers. Through extensive research, development, and component reviews, the Direct Energy HD Amplifier on the power amplifier part achieved improved transmission efficiency, to reproduce a more expressive fine sound. The Direct Energy HD Amplifier downsized the circuit and heat sink by introducing the “Direct Power FET” with a high-efficiency drive for the output element, and significantly reduced electric signal loss and resonance noise. The Direct Energy HD Amplifier also enabled the installation of a large-capacity power supply, which enhances the rapid production and control of the quick-responding sound unique to the Class D amplifier, allowing you to enjoy “dynamic low pitch” music.

02Clean Ground Construction

The unit’s circuit design is based on the clean ground concept, with the shortest and simplest signal paths. The result is reduced distortion with minimum signal interference for improved sonic clarity.

Reproducing music in its original state, in natural sound. It’s Pioneer’s philosophy that can be tracked back to the ribbon tweeters from the ‘70s, before the existence of Hi-Res Audio. Since the days of CD audio, Pioneer has been pursuing various technologies for wide-range reproduction to replicate every naturally existing sound that extends beyond the audio format.

01Hi-bit32 Audio Processing

Using Pioneer-original algorithms, Hi-bit32 Audio Processing expands the input bit signals to create a natural and analogue-like waveform, reproducing rich audio even from extremely minute signals. High-resolution 192 kHz/24-bit audio sources can be expanded to 192 kHz/32-bit signals. The feature is also effective for CD audio played on a disc player.

02Up-Sampling

The sampling frequency of the audio source is increased up to 384 kHz* to achieve clear and extremely transparent sound. Up Sampling reduces the noise in the audible range, and reveals the delicate sound details that tend to be buried within the noise.

Recreate the lifelike experience as if being in a recording studio or a music hall. To this end, Pioneer has realised the ideal signal transmission for every inch of the chassis that enables accurate sound image and sound field, including strong power supply circuit and high accuracy clock with minimal noise. The resulting sound delivers every feel in the air.

01Three-Chamber Shielded Chassis

The inside of the chassis is divided into three shielded chambers, isolating the power supply for digital block, digital block, and power supply for analogue block/analogue block. This structure minimises interference that might degrade the audio signal.

02Twin Transformers in Shield Cases

The windings for the power amplifier, pre-amplifier, and controls are each separated inside the power transformer to cut out noise interference. This allows even more realistic amplification of the audio signals.

03Isolated Power Supply

Transformer for Analogue Block (N-70A)

The integrated amplifier comes with independently installed twin large transformers—for the power amp and the pre-amp—each in shielded cases. This keeps the noise in the small signal area from transferring to the primary side of the power amp block.
The digital and analogue blocks on the network audio players have independent transformers, each suited to the characteristics of the block. The analogue/digital isolated power supply prevents noise caused by interference between the circuits, while also supplying clean power. The transformer for the analogue block* cuts out unwanted electromagnetic waves with the copper-plate plus anti-vibration paint applied shield case. The result is high-grade sound with an ideal balance between quiet and dynamic qualities.
